Illustrations

More than one hundred color illustrations accompany the first three sagas, Troll Tale, Winter of the Wolf, and Raven’s Child.  The fourth, The Hatchling Saga, has not yet been illustrated. The characters in these graphics were created with ZBrush and Adobe Fuse. Most landscapes were produced with E-On Vue, and final compositing was done with Adobe Photoshop. Many assets were obtained from TurboSquid and modified to fit the illustrations.

Norwegian Ny Form trolls served as models for the trolls. Four of the human characters were modeled after my family—a Viking ship-chief  (Captain Rikr) after myself, a Norse sorceress (Kitta) after my wife, the human heroine of Troll Tale (Chika) after my granddaughter, and her brother (Kalli) after my grandson. The face of my son was composited into the Project Yeti face by Garner Holt Productions to create the Hairyyeti.
